Christmas 2011 - Argentina

AR042-11
According to the Gospel of Matthew, the Magi or the (Three) Wise Men, (Three) Kings found Jesus by 'following' a star, which thus traditionally became known as the Star of Bethlehem. On finding him, they gave him three symbolic gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh.

They are regular figures in traditional accounts of the nativity celebrations of Christmas and are an important part of the Christian tradition.

To celebrate the Christmas Season 2011, Argentina Post issued a stamp depicts Three Wise Men with  the Star of Bethlehem in graphical drawing.
